Sink cabinets are the main areas where water problems occur, and where mold and mildew are likely to be found. Storage typically prevents the inspection of all of the cabinets, drawers, closets, and shelves. Storage on countertops typically prevent full visibility, and countertops are where a lot of minor damage occurs from dropped plates and glasses in the kitchen, hair dryers in the bathrooms, etc. Concealed damage is not within the scope of the home inspection.
Furnishings and storage can prevent opening and closing closet doors, cabinet doors, and drawers.

Shelf paper can prevent observation of any moisture or physical damage to shelves and drawers.

Recommend inspecting cabinets, drawers, shelves, and countertops at final walk-through.
