Such conditions can allow a fire to rapidly spread throughout the house. |
A metal cord should be installed between the garage door springs to prevent injury. The garage door springs have been known to break when they are under tension when the door is closed. A breaking garage door spring can cause injury to people, vehicles, and property nearby. The metal cord between the springs help to prevent the spring from causing damage if they should break.
Recommend installing metal cord through all garage door springs.
